As part of an order or during order fulfilment, service characteristics are used to define the service details required by both parties. The Fibre Cafe uses the following enumerated set - not all service characteristics are supported by all suppliers.
Some service characteristics are mandatory for certain order types, others are optional and can be used to provide additional information to the supplier. When placing a provide order where there is an existing service (i.e. for start, takeover, transfer, swap) the LINE_ID or ONT_REFERENCE/ONT_PORT is required to specify the existing line/ONT/port.
